Digital accessibility
From July 2025, stricter guidelines for website accessibility will apply in the EU, and the European Accessibility Act (EAA) will become binding. Websites and online shops serving customers in the EU will then have to be accessible. Those who fail to implement this risk warnings and heavy penalties.
The new guidelines require websites to be accessible to all people, regardless of their limitations.
Accessible websites benefit everyone and also improve SEO, increasing visibility on search engines.
