The place to be for those interested in receiving further training in health care and social services: Careum Haus in Aarau.

Careum Continuing Education is based in the centre of Aarau. Its premises provide space to learn and work in a stimulating atmosphere between the old town and the banks of the Aare. Each year, more than 6,500 specialists and managers from the worlds of health care and social services attend Careum Haus to receive further training in the fields of nursing and care, leadership and management, advice and communication, teaching and learning, ageing and society, care catering and housekeeping or medicine and pharmacy.

Room rental

We are also happy to rent out our rooms for courses, meetings, seminars, training sessions, examinations or conferences. Our group rooms and teaching rooms can accommodate up to 25 people. Our hall is ideally suited for large events.

  • How to get there

    Careum Haus can be reached easily by public transport. It is just a few minutes’ walk from Aarau station. There is also a public car park directly in front of the building.

  • Catering

    The bistro in the Careum Haus serves lunch menus, which change day on day. It also offers special coffees, a small salad bar and a selection of snacks when you are just a bit peckish.

  • Reference library

    Careum Haus houses a reference library available for participants, instructors and employees to use. Journals and reference material can be consulted in the library, but cannot be taken out on loan.
